- I'm recently widowed, a stay at home mom of four wonderful grown kids and a grandmother two beautiful grandchildren. I've been online for about 16 years and I'm still learning something new every day. I was raised by two loving parents who taught me the right way, and my dad was a baptist preacher, and so were my grandfather and great-grandfather. I always used to say I have a drug problem. I get drug to church every time the doors open. Since then I have studied all the books I can find on various religious beliefs and found there are similarities in them all, but there is only one true path to salvation. And that's to love God more than anything else and to love your brothers and sisters as you love yourself. It's really that simple. I also found out recently that I, through my dad's bloodline, am an Ashkenazi Jew. My great-grandfather and mother use to live in Amsterdam, right down the street from Corey Ten Boom! They came here right after World War 1 and raised a big farm and family of 14 children.
